My mom is with this guy (they have been together for about 4 years now, and are not married). His mom has an ADOPTED brother, who has a son, who I am very very VERY much into.In the olden days, the Tswana people would actually marry their cousins - blood related cousins.
in my family we actually have a history of this happening. This makes Pam both my mums aunty and her sister in law. Unless there is a blood tie, or if they grew up as family (eg adopted etc), I see nothing wrong with it. My grandma had a daughter with her husband, my grandpa had a son with his wife. If they had gotten married my aunts husband would have been his own uncle/nephew :) his mom would have also been his sister-in-law! They had a son together who can technically claim he has an uncle-dad and an aunt-mom.
